Center Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) in All We Do
The California Children and Families Foundation takes deliberate steps to authentically center our work around the principles of REDI and ensure that program priorities encompass and advance equity for young children and their families using a targeted universalism approach, including elevating parent and caregiver voices as leaders and drivers of change. Examples of our REDI focus include:
- We train early childhood leaders throughout California on developing a targeted universalist approach.
- We build community and family member opportunities to participate in policy decision making.
- We strengthen the pipeline of early childhood leaders of color.
