Center Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) in All We Do

The California Children and Families Foundation takes deliberate steps to authentically center our work around the principles of REDI and ensure that program priorities encompass and advance equity for young children and their families using a targeted universalism approach, including elevating parent and caregiver voices as leaders and drivers of change. Assert Policy Leadership & Drive Systems Change

The California Children and Families Foundation advances equity-centered statewide policies for underserved communities that promote an integrated, whole-child and family system of care, and ensure a continued focus on the well-being of young children and their families.

Facilitate First 5 Engagement, Learning & Support

The California Children and Families Foundation is connected to all 58 county First 5 Commissions across the state through its sister organization, the First 5 Association of California.  

The Foundation invests in the development of a diverse leadership network for early childhood professionals in the First 5 Network through direct leadership trainings and effective peer exchange and learning opportunities.
